Prime Minister Edi Rama was in Kavaja today with the women and girls of the Socialist Party.

Rama returned to the rhetoric that "half of men are syryk".

Thanks to Rama, the Socialist Party has provided two new examples in Albanian politics, the co-leadership of organizations by men and women, as well as their inclusion in the Albania 2030 team.

" There are many men who feel good in the swamp. They feel good with that old approach and with the old path that knows where it leads, while we have not felt it and will not feel good until we fully establish gender equality not only in numbers but also as a quality of social coexistence in this country because we have made considerable steps, but what is important is that what is reflected today with great significance in public life, where women in municipal councils are 50%, and in parliament there are more than in the past when it seemed like an Ottoman chamber, where women in government are over 50%, where women in entrepreneurship, in the management of enterprises have reached almost 30%, must extend deeper into society to guarantee liberation and equality between the sexes in every family.

Violence against women has decreased, but not enough. Neglect, pressure or equal treatment of girls has decreased, but not enough. What belongs to all women in the SP is to fight this battle for girls and other women as well.

I am glad that today we have created two new examples in Albanian politics. First, we introduced into the party the innovation of co-leading organizations by a man or boy and a woman or girl, and today we have over 95% of organizations that have co-chairs, and this has brought us the benefit of more women and girls coming closer.

On the other hand, today we have 71 women and girls in our team for Albania 2030, but the most beautiful thing is that in the closed list we have 52% girls.

"There is nothing more beautiful here than women and girls fighting for men who are candidates because their representatives have female MPs today ," said Rama.
