The Socialist Party of Gjirokastra has banned electoral rallies in this city, following the tragic event, where a 17-year-old ended his life.

In a statement also distributed by Socialist Minister Mirela Kumbaro, the cessation of gatherings for 24 hours is announced in respect of the great pain of the family of 17-year-old Vehip Peçi.

"Dear fellow citizens of Gjirokastra, in respect of the deep pain of the Peçi Family, sharing with them the grief for the tragedy that has befallen them, the Socialist Party of Gjirokastra has decided to ban electoral rallies for 24 hours.

"We once again express our deepest condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the deceased," the Gjirokastra PS announces.
