Prime Minister Edi Rama says that the union with Europe is like a two-lane road, the lane of daily work of reforms and the political lane.
During the conversation held today on his Podcast where the Minister of State for Public Administration and Anticorruption, Adea Pirdeni, who knows him well and has been at the steps of Albania's path to the EU, was invited, Rama said that the opening of negotiations for the group - the "Fundamentals" chapter is very important and brings benefits.
"This podcast is dedicated to the most important, historic day, in the full sense of the word, of my mission, since you entrusted me with the privilege of leading our common Albania. Union with Europe is a two-lane road: the daily work lane of reforms, measures and factual and technical assessments that are made in the European Commission and it is the political lane, because it is a political family that decides beyond those that are objective criteria. Rama said.
He emphasized once again that within this decade Albania will definitely join the EU. "I am 100% convinced," he said.
"The EU is the area of guaranteed individual freedom and this is not negotiated, bought or sold for anything. The second for the legal order, what we are trying to establish for the first time in our history, a democratic legal order and for functional democracy is definitely an exercise that has all its difficulties and today it is showing its weaknesses and in itself the EU", said Rama.
