Edi Rama/Erion Veliaj

Prime Minister Edi Rama has commented on the investigations of the Special Prosecution Office against the Mayor of Tirana , Erion Veliaj.

The head of government stated that Mayor Veliaj's family life is being violated by the public trial being held against him.

Edi Rama: I temporarily know that Erion Veluaj's family life is being violated by the public trial conducted not by the relevant institution, but by all those involved in that trial.

His dignity is violated by prosecutors and low-ranking judges in media clubs, or hidden behind the screens of portals. I know this for sure. As for the rest, no one makes an exception to what I said at the beginning, I do not comment on issues that belong to the institutions of justice.

To this day, it is my position, I can comment on final decisions for a slanderer, which for me has been one of the fairest decisions. The public lynching of the mayor is disgusting, the demand for the guillotine for him is scandalous. These are the comments.
