Durrës is one of the municipalities where the majority and the opposition are clashing more fiercely and seek victory at all costs. The Democratic Party last controlled the Municipality of Durrës in 2000 and since that year the Socialists took power in the country's second largest city and are now seeking a second term for Emirjana Sako. While the opposition seeks to break the taboo with Igli Cara.
Sako, elected in the 2022 elections with 58.47% of the vote, or 39,157 voters, requires confidence to be re-voted.
In an analysis carried out on the past elections on the results obtained for each Administrative Unit, there was this ranking:
6. Katund i Ri Administrative Unit with 53.20%
5. Durrës City with 57.93%
4. Sukth Administrative Unit with 59.93%
3. Rrashbull Administrative Unit with 60.97%
2. Manez Administrative Unit with 62.03%
1. Išem Administrative Unit with 62.66%
So, the highest result in % in favor of the socialist candidate, Emirjana Sako, was achieved by the Administrative Unit of Ishëm, followed by the Administrative Unit of Manëz and then Rrashbulli and so on.
And the administrative units of Ishëm and Manëz have been entrusted to the representative of these areas, deputy Jurgis Çyrbja.
The latter has translated his work with high results. And this for a reason. Citizens often say that local and central government representatives are only interested in them as the elections approach, but the situation is different in the area of Ishmi and Manza. Their representative, Jurgis Çyrbja, or Juri as they call him, is always by their side for any problem.
In this way, his closeness to the electorate has turned him into a barn of votes for the SP, which has caused the campaign of Jurgis CVCyrbes to worry the opposing camp quite a bit. If all MPs worked like Jurgis Cyrbja, the campaign would be more positive and problems would not be solved only during the campaign. The aim of Jurgis Çyrbjas is to maintain the result of 62% for the candidate Emirjana Sakon in the Administrative Unit of Manëz e Ishem in the May 14 elections and why not exceed this figure.
