Former socialist deputy Gramoz Ruçi sees the Socialist Party as more mature and mature in its 33rd anniversary. In an interview for A2 CNN, he said that 18 years of governance of this political force shows the positive progress, compared to other political forces in the country, but also its sisters in Eastern and Western Europe.
"33 years more achieved in terms of numbers. This year alone, it has increased by 33% compared to 3 years ago, the newest. It is enough to mention those who were not born when the SP was born, today they are either in the direction of the organization, or MPs, or ministers and deputy ministers. It is difficult to make an analysis. The fact that the SP completes 18 years in government at the end of this mandate speaks of positive progress compared to other Albanian political forces, but not only compared to all the left-wing political forces of Eastern Europe, most of which are non-existent today, but compared to the socialist parties of the West, which are in the minority with these electoral results that the SP had. Seen from this point of view, I judge that the SP has been consistent, with its feet on the ground and its mind in its head, which has been able to analyze its work and activity, increase dynamism, reform and achieve electoral results".
Asked whether SP was better before 2005 when Fatos Nano was at its head or now, Ruçi says that this party is many times better today, but it should take the positive things it had until 2005.
According to him, the political family is like the biological one.
"I think that SP is many times better in many ways today. Just like today, the existing structures should take the best and positive things that the SP had until 2005 to vitalize the political force and the electoral action. There is an interweaving, the political family is like the biological family".
Dissatisfaction and ambitions within the Socialist Party for the former Speaker of the Assembly are normal, while denying Rama's government getting out of control.
"It's absolutely normal and I would encourage any career ambitions of any socialist. But this is not enough. You don't have to think of it as a spritzer, but think of it as a marathon runner. I don't think that anything has gotten out of control, on the contrary, there are mistakes and responsibilities in the ongoing work, just as there are results".
To continue with the vision, ambition and energy that Rama has had these 3 mandates are the advice that Ruçi gives to the socialist leader.
"The advice for Rama is to continue with this vision and ambition that he has had in these 3 mandates and this energy that he has had in these 3 mandates. Today, Rama is many times more prudent in terms of governance and SP".
Socialists celebrated this evening the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the Party, in a ceremony at the pink headquarters. Their birthday coincides with the liberation of Kosovo, which today marked the 25th anniversary.
Prime Minister Edi Rama was absent from the ceremonies organized in Pristina, even though he had an invitation from Albin Kurti, while President Bajram Begaj and Speaker of Parliament Lindita Nikolla were there.
