Prime Minister Edi Rama requested from London the vote of the Albanians for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Precisely from the British capital, he said that "our victory in the next elections must be a final victory", according to him "even for the opposition that must be freed from the hostage-takers and from the hostage-taking".
"If you, the Albanians of the free world, will participate massively in the upcoming elections and add the weight of your decision-making to the majority of Albanians in Albania, for Albania 2030, a European state in the EU, then I am telling you, the confrontation of The next election will not only be decisive, but it will be final! Without possible turning back for state-making and progress, for justice and economy. Our victory in the next elections should not be, and I have the confidence that it will not be, the next victory of one party over the others. But it must be the triumph of a vision for the world, it must be the triumph of an understanding of the human values of respect".
"Our victory in the next elections must be a victory, not a decisive victory, but a final victory, even for the opposition that must be freed from the hostage-takers and from the hostage-taking for the troubles of some leaders discriminated by history", said Rama.
According to Prime Minister Edi Rama, the "flow" of Albanian immigrants to foreign countries is decreasing, stressing that the period of returning to the homeland is coming.
"The long tide of departures, for reasons that have nothing to do with what is said, but are part of the historical trend of movements. That tide is coming to an end and the time of ebb and the time of returns is coming little by little. Yesterday I met a doctor who works here in London, he told me I want to go back to work for the Socialist Party of 2030, I told him that politics is a difficult mission. He told me I have no idea, now I want to feel alive, available and useful for more than I'm used to doing. To return to have two homes, to have there a home worthy of your dream, for Albania and for those little ones who speak excellent English, when you take them by the hand they say: Dad, mom i am proud of you, I am proud of my country."
Asking for a vote of confidence, Rama emphasized that the Albanian flag will line up in Brussels next to the European family.
"Let's continue this path together, aware of the flaws and everything we lack that we must address with the united strength of the mind and heart and share the mind that the flag of Ismail Qemali and Skenderbeu, which makes us all sing together let's keep it in our hearts and minds every day and not let anyone put it down, but line it up in the backyard of the united European family", said Rama.
