Albania and Kosovo had their moment at this inaugural meeting of the Peace Board.

While Donald Trump thanked Edi Rama for his presence on this Board, he expressed the US's unconditional support for Kosovo to the president and the only woman in this forum, Vjosa Osmani, while the two Balkan countries will contribute personnel to maintain peace in Gaza.

Invited to 'Top Story', Minister Pirro Vëngu stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama's participation in the Peace Board was not a surprise for them, but a finalization of a several-month effort.

"I believe it is useful to put what happened today in context. It is the culmination of a months-long effort by the US, which has legitimized this process."

This invitation was not a surprise, it was a welcome one. This demonstrates that Albania, beyond modesty, always manages through commitment to play at a higher level than it deserves.

Albania has also engaged in meetings with military forces for the forces that will ensure peace in the Gaza Strip, which will engage on the rules of engagement and objectives, where countries like Albania and Kosovo will be involved.

We will engage with military headquarters and not with monetary funding. I believe that today's participation also comes as a result of the sustainability we have pursued for Israeli-Palestinian relations.

"Believe me when I tell you that for those of us who have followed this process, this participation has come quite naturally," said Minister Vëngu.
