For months, there has been talk of a breakdown in Edi Rama's relations with Donald Trump's US administration.

The opposition and the media close to it declared that Rama could not go to the US.

They even went so far as to say that the FBI would arrest him.

A fantasy that actually turned out to be not only untrue, but also a boomerang for the Democrats.

This is because one day before the February 20 protest, Rama appeared in the US.

And not secretly or in the FBI offices, but alongside Donald Trump, with whom he even shook hands.

Of course, he appeared there as a decoration for the "Peace Board", conceived and created by Donald Trump.

But for Rama it matters little.

Importantly for him, he appeared alongside Donald Trump and shook hands with him.

That's enough to calm worried socialists and infuriate Democrats who were really hoping the Americans would arrest him. ( Vox News )
