Clashes in Parliament/ Gazment Bardhi: You're behaving like Ermonela Felaj!

Today's plenary session in the Albanian Parliament was accompanied by harsh tones and verbal clashes between Democratic Party MP Gazment Bardhi and the Speaker of the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali.

The reason for the debates was the presentation of a draft law, for which Bardhi requested the presence of the countersigning minister, as required by the Assembly's regulations.

"This world is full of worries, but your worries are strange. With all that has happened to you... Mr. Noka is worried about who will be the speaker of the Assembly, because he probably dreamed of it himself, you are worried about who will present the law. I don't understand," Spiropali addressed Gazment Bardhi.

Gazment Bardhi: What's with this threat you're making to MPs?

Elisa Spiropali: It's not a threat, do you have questions for Minister Balla or not, about the draft law.

Gazment Bardhi: When the Assembly's regulations state that a law is reviewed in the presence of its countersigning minister in the Council of Ministers...

Elisa Spiropali: The Deputy Prime Minister is not here today, let's not continue. This world has its troubles, but your troubles are strange. With all that has happened to you... Mr. Noka is worried about who will be the Speaker of the Parliament, because he probably dreamed of it himself, you are worried about who will present the bill. I don't understand.

Gazment Bardhi: You've taken Ermonela's advice. Madam Speaker, at least stand up to Mrs. Nikolla. You're acting like Ermonela Felaj.

Elisa Spiropali: You are not in a position to tell us the heights of the pit you fell into.

Gazment Bardhi: Don't show me your Batak, or I'll show you your Batak.
