The Council for Regulation, Mandates and Immunity will meet today at 11:00 a.m. in the Presidency of the Assembly to consider the motion of 14 opposition MPs, who seek to establish the incompatibility of the mandate of Socialist MP Vullnet Sinaj.
This DP request, which accuses Sinai of having benefited from public money with his businesses, will be examined by the Council of Mandates and then it is expected to go to the plenary session for voting.
In the motion submitted by the opposition MPs, it is said that Sinai has violated the Constitution, as it has benefited from public funds contrary to point 3 of Article 70 of the Constitution, which prohibits the MP from benefiting from public property. While Sinai himself claims that he has not received any amount from the state budget through his businesses.
"I have not benefited from the state budget a single lek, neither when I was not a deputy, nor when I was elected a deputy. Moreover, for years I have been donating the monthly salary of the MP to help people in need and I don't even think of benefiting financially from the state budget", said Sinai earlier in his reaction.
