The Chairman of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, has made a denunciation regarding the German concession company in the Port of Durrës, while the scandal with the transport of around 800 tons of toxic waste to Thailand is still being investigated.
From the Presidency of the Assembly, Shehaj said that by order of Rama, the German concession company that is in arbitration with the Albanian government has left.
Shehaj has also published the document where, according to him, it is shown how Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku has authorized the transfer of the concessionaire's quotas despite the arbitration trial, where the concessionaire demands 40 million euros from the government.
Among other things, Shehaj underlines that the sale of the concession was made to a new entity, behind which it is not known who is hiding, raising doubts about a secret agreement mediated by Prime Minister Rama.
"Minister Balluku, who has become part of this occult agreement with her firm, must explain to Albanians and the public opinion how it is possible that a company pays at least 13 million euros, for a concession that no longer exists and over which there is an arbitration", said the chairman of the Possibilities party.
Shehaj's statement:
As you know, the German concessionaire company of the Port of Durrës has asked the Albanian Government in Arbitration for 40 million euros, according to them, for breaking the contract.
While the arbitration trial continues, Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku has allowed this concessionaire, who is demanding 40 million euros from the government, to sell the concession to a new entity, behind which it is not known who is hiding.
This is the document through which Minister Balluku authorizes the transfer of concession quotas despite the arbitration trial with the concessionaire.
Clearly, we are dealing with an occult agreement privately brokered by Prime Minister Rama.
De facto, through this agreement, Rama expelled the Germans and took control of the concession of the Port of Durrës.
Minister Balluku, who has become part of this occult agreement with her firm, must explain to Albanians and the public opinion how it is possible that a company pays at least 13 million euros, for a concession that no longer exists and on top of that which has an arbitration.
Second, who is behind the new concession owners?
Thirdly, what has the Albanian government promised the new owners of the concession?
Fourth, does the trial continue in arbitration or is a condition imposed on withdrawal from arbitration?
Fifth, why was the transfer of the concession kept secret?
Sixth, has the departure of the German concessionaire company been decided in June to continue the traffic of toxic waste from the Port of Durrës?
The truth is that this concession is also a corrupt affair, like all concessions for roads, ports, airports, health, and incinerators.
The government through partner oligarchs and offshore companies has taken control of the entire infrastructure of the country and the economy, with the sole purpose of consolidating political power and making the democratic rotation of power impossible.
