From Vlora, Prime Minister Edi Rama mocked Lulzim Basha, saying that he started a tram in Tirana, but could not take it to Durrës, after he fell asleep.

Rama ironically stated that Lulzim Basha would be needed for a tram in the city of Vlora, as only he could do it.

"We need to agree on one thing that you are doing well to ask for. For the tram in Vlora, we would need Luli, we do not know how to make trams. Luli has built a tram in Tirana, which as the citizens of Tirana have seen is very successful, with a dizzying speed, overcoming all the problems created by traffic. He had a plan to extend it to Durrës, but he fell asleep and left it only in Tirana. So I do not know how much cooperation can be achieved with him, but I hope that it will not be possible to bring Vlora up because of the tram and say we want Luli as mayor", said Rama.

This statement by Prime Minister Rama was made in response to the requests of tour operators in Vlora, which, as the head of government stated, are the main engine of tourism development and the regional economy.
