After a series of meetings were launched by a group of Democrats, including former MP Ervin Salianji and Ilir Alimehmeti, the Democratic Party has set in motion an analysis of the loss in the May 11 elections.

The instruction signed by Secretary General Flamur Noka has been distributed to local branches across the country and they are asked to initiate an internal analysis of the result that the DP received in the elections.

A day earlier, Salianji and Alimehmeti held a meeting with the party's Durrës branch structures where, during their speeches, they requested an analysis of the situation the DP is in today, after several consecutive defeats in the elections.

From the city of Durrës, former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji stated that the Democrats are seeking a reaction and response to the current situation in which the largest opposition force in the country finds itself today.

Salianji said that the DP is not being supported by either the Democrats or the citizens, both in protests and in the absent meetings on the ground.

Meanwhile, the former Democratic Party candidate for deputy on the open list of Tirana, Ilir Alimehmeti, said that we should remove this government as soon as possible, and that only the right wing, which puts the interests of Albania before the party, can do this.

"We know that Balluku with a drop of a pencil takes 50 million euros from the account tunnel and we don't know if it's safe.
The sooner we remove this government, and only the right-wing party that puts Albania's interests before the party does this."

"You understood that this is a spirit to unite everyone to discuss and do the best possible," Ilir Alimehmeti declared yesterday during a meeting with the Democrats in the city of Durrës.
