After the deputy prime minister, Belinda Balluku, the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has rejected rumors of rivalry.

Veliaj reconfirmed that he will be the candidate of the SP for the Municipality of Tirana in the upcoming elections, while emphasizing that there is no competition between him and Balluk for this post. He stated that he has been friends with the minister for 20 years and they exchange messages every day.

"Belinda and I have known each other for 20 years and there is not a day that we have not exchanged messages. Me, Belinda and Rama have ambitions to take the country as high as possible. Those who will pray will be strong calluses and we will not have debates", said the socialist mayor last evening on the show "Log".

Meanwhile, we remember that a few days ago, Balluku expressed support for Veliaj in the race for Tirana.

"I will support Veliaj for the third term at the head of the Municipality of Tirana", she declared.
