The High Prosecution Council (KLP), through a press release, has condemned "any form of pressure or intimidation directed at SPAK or its leader, considering them serious threats to the integrity of the justice system in Albania and stands by determination by the entire Special Structure, in support of the work of the prosecutors against any attack or denigrating intervention".

Although it does not mention him by name, KLP responds to the insulting statements of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha towards the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.

"The Supreme Prosecution Council (SPC) has followed with concern the reactions and recent statements made against the prosecution system. KLP reiterates its full commitment to stand by the prosecutors of the Republic of Albania, who every day exercise their activity in challenging conditions.

Attempts to influence or intimidate justice institutions, especially those on the front lines of the fight against crime and corruption, are attacks on the basic principles of integrity and justice that underpin law enforcement in the country. The reform in justice and the implementation of the law are the main criteria that the European Union requires from Albania for the creation of an independent justice system. Therefore, KLP invites the media to, with their work, support the activity of independent institutions in their institutional journey.

KLP condemns any form of pressure or intimidation directed at SPAK or its leader, considering them serious threats to the integrity of the justice system in Albania and firmly stands by the entire Special Structure, in support of the work of prosecutors against any attack or denigrating intervention.

KLP expresses its full commitment to stand by the side of the prosecutors, guaranteeing an independent and transparent justice process. The work and integrity of the prosecutors of the Republic of Albania are essential for building a system that serves and protects the citizens of this country, without fear or prejudice. Our common mission is and remains to strengthen the public's trust in a system, which has just given the first fruits of the implementation of the reform in justice ", declared KLP.

What Berisha stated

In his speech to the supporters who gather every night below his apartment, Berisha on Sunday threw accusations and insults at the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.

"Of these wretches like Altin Dumani, mercenaries who boast in the corridors that they are the American prosecutor. American, but you belong to George Soros, you villain, you scum! And thankfully, don't think that there will be any strength in the world to protect you, not even Edi Rama. No, no, because you have committed heinous crimes. You have defiled laws and the Constitution!

Monsters of crime that trade every night with murderers, with criminals, with thugs. They get a percentage of the traffic profit, they get a percentage of the kill profit. These monsters have rushed against the opposition, pluralism in Albania.

Edi Rama is protected by the mercenary Dumani, from the scum Dumani. But now, you scum, those who protected Edi Rama received the stamp of history, where will you go who protects the thief, the criminal, the bandit who corrupted the country's friend and ally, the chief of counter-intelligence, only to fight the opposition?
