Lawyer Spartak Ngjela has commented on the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Tirana this month.
In the show "Top Story", Ngjela said that the US has a significant interest in Albania and Kosovo, as it sees them as non-Slavic states that guarantee security in the region.
"There is continuity in the function of Albania, and not now. It really started in 1919, when the Slavs and Greeks thought we were eliminated, Wilson came out and we all know it. They said that Enver Hoxha has separated us from Russia, the Kennedy doctrine did not come out. The Kennedy Doctrine says to push towards China, and if China has no money to give to Albania, let's give China to give to Albania. Then came the Kosovo war. Why all this interest in Albania? We are not Slavs, and the Anglo-Saxon conflict in this area is with the Slavs, because Russia comes into play. Take away Montenegro, these others are in the sphere, that the Albanian world in the Western Balkans is security for this issue.
Kurti has put forward a nationalist idea for the elimination of the dinar, let's be realistic. They have the Euro as their national currency, but they have allowed it in these municipalities. They have done great financial damage with the dinar. Society does not ask whose dinar is, whether I win or not, he says. "Kurti took an extreme measure," declared Ngjela.
