The director of the State Intelligence Service, Vlora Hyseni, warned that the Russian and Serbian agencies have maintained a hostile attitude towards Albania.

Reserved to give information to the media, as he reported to the Security Commission about the work of the institution he leads during the past year, Hyseni said that within the mission of SHISH, cooperation with other law enforcement agencies has increased.

"We have increased cooperation with SPAK, the National Bureau of Investigation, the General Directorate of the State Police, the General Prosecutor's Office. We have mainly focused on operations related to organized crime, anti-terror, espionage, which includes opposing the intelligence services of Russia, Serbia and other countries".

The leader of SHISH invited the opposition, which earlier accused it of making a secret visit to Belgrade, to speak with facts.

"To be reserved and speak with evidence and facts when we accuse of any activity of the Service Director."

Despite the opposition's insistence that the meeting be held with open doors, the SHISH director's report to the deputies of the Security Committee lasted a few minutes due to the classified information that Hyseni said the report for 2023 contains.
