Artificial intelligence will be one of the main points of the Albanian government in this fourth mandate.

Artificial intelligence will also be used in healthcare, which was touched upon by Minister Evis Sala in her speech on her first day in office.

In London, where Minister Salla is currently attending the 2-day "Artificial Intelligence in Health" summit organized by "The Economist", she said that global health is entering a new phase, where advanced technologies will allow the transition from traditional diagnostics to a new level, so-called "super-diagnostics".

Minister Sala underlined that Artificial Intelligence will lead the revolution in healthcare, while presenting the Albanian government's vision for complete digitalization in healthcare, as a precursor to the use of artificial intelligence in advanced diagnostics.

"The hospital of the future will have an invisible technological infrastructure, a unified patient data center, zero administrative burden for professionals, and a culture of human-AI collaboration, where patient care is at the center," she said.

In the panel dedicated to the integration of artificial intelligence in clinical practice, alongside renowned international names, Minister Sala shared concrete examples of the use of AI to reduce clinician fatigue and administrative burden in radiology, including the automation of repetitive tasks, optimization of planning, automatic generation of reports, and natural language processing for medical documentation.

The summit was attended by 300 participants and 60 speakers from around the world, presenting exclusive insights and case studies from policymakers, medical technology representatives, academics, and organizations working to achieve the maximum potential of AI in healthcare.
