President Ilir Meta welcomed the resolution adopted by the European Parliament, condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine.
"The 637-vote adoption of this resolution affecting all political, economic, diplomatic, humanitarian, legal aspects, as well as the tragic consequences that the escalating situation can cause, testifies to European solidarity and unity in the face of the danger posed today not only to Ukraine but also to Europe and the free and democratic world," he writes.
Meta says that through this resolution, the EP has also added attention to the Western Balkans, as an area where Russian influences are strong and can incite unrest.
"I welcome the added attention of the European Parliament and our region, which should increase our vigilance towards any attempt at disstability by unfriendly actors," he adds.
His reaction, Meta closed by asking the Assembly of Albania to adopt without delay a resolution against the invasion of Ukraine.
