The Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, met today with the Chairman of the OSCE in Tirana, Clarisse Pasztory.

Meta presented this meeting as an exchange of ideas on electoral reform, but at the same time announced on social networks that during the meeting he had emphasized to Ms. Pasztory the importance of "judicial bodies being completely independent".

"I emphasized the inalienable obligation, that the bodies of justice be completely independent, uninfluenced and freed from government capture and only apply the Constitution and the law because only in this way will they properly play their legal role in punishing election crimes ", announced Meta after the meeting with the OSCE chairman, a meeting that comes at a time when he has launched a series of harsh attacks with serious accusations against SPAK and its chairman, Altin Dumani.

But it seems that for this concern of Meta, Pasztory has immediately given the answer. In a post on social networks, she reveals that she told Meta that the judiciary in Albania is independent and "does not take orders from anyone".

"I met with the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, and his team, today, to discuss the priorities of the electoral reform, thus ending my round of meetings with political parties on this topic.

Also, I used this opportunity to address recent comments regarding the judiciary in Albania. I expressed my full support and that of the OSCE Presence for SPAK. The judiciary is independent and does not take orders from anyone", writes Pasztory.
