We strongly condemn the violence during today's protest in the center of Tirana, during which improvised pyrotechnic devices were thrown at the town hall building. Such acts have no place in a democratic society and have nothing to do with the legitimate right to peaceful protest', says the reaction of the EU presence in Tirana

Also, the United States embassy in Tirana condemned the violence.
