The head of the "Euro-Atlantic Democrats", Lulzim Basha, has responded to Ilir Meta's accusations. In a Facebook post, Basha writes that Ilir Meta is "a symbol of impunity and bargaining at the expense of Albanians and democrats".

Basha adds that "Meta is the block man in hand who has used the power of the democrats for his personal interests and to empower Edi Rama, while following up with the ordeal frauds to cover his dirty bargains."

According to Basha, distancing himself from the head of the PL "and his like are an inevitable condition to separate from corruption".

Meta accused both Ram and Basha of the sea agreement with Greece.
