Legalization of cannabis for self-use? Rama: We'll ask citizens next year

Prime Minister Edi Rama says that in national consultation citizens are asked about the legalization of cannabis only for medical purposes, but did not rule out the possibility that in another questionnaire, citizens would be asked about the legalization of its self-use.

"We will ask Albanians that we have had many people who wanted to know was the legalization of cannabis for self-use, we will ask them next year. We're going to put cannabis in with minimal gauges," he said.

Rama said he himself did not have an opinion on the matter, but said it was more about yes.

"I personally have no opinion, we have had a lot of debates and I have been very suspicious, more for yes than not, but doubtful, now we are very clear, if albanians said yes, we would allow it, regardless of what the dead say," he said.
