LAST NEWS/ Lulzim Basha wins with about 16 thousand votes, returns to the head

The process of counting the votes for the new leader of the DP has been closed throughout the country.

In the race are former chief democrat Lulzim Basha and Gjergji Hani, from the class of former political persecuted.

Basha managed to collect the largest amount of votes, thus being announced as the new chairman of the DP.

The Chairman of the Electoral Commission in DP, Jemin Gjana, has published the final results of the process.

"25460 voters on the lists. It turns out that 18,052 members of the Democratic Party, i.e. about 71%, participated in the voting. Out of 18052 members who participated in the voting, 18052 ballots were found in the ballot boxes, 199 were found invalid. 17853 are valid votes, of which Basha received 16196 votes and Hani 1657 votes. Based on these data, the Electoral Commission of the DP declares Lulzim Basha as the winner of the elections", said Gjana.
