The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, expressed his surprise that he was not received at the meeting by his Kosovo counterpart, Albin Kurti.
Rama has tried to communicate with Kurt.
"I did not come to explain, interpret Albin's position. The most important thing today is for people to meet, to talk, especially when they have different attitudes. By meeting, maybe they understand each other better. We communicated, in fact I tried to communicate, but it was difficult", said Rama Rubikon in Klan Kosova.
" There is also a misunderstanding that the cancellation of the meeting of governments came as a result of EU measures. In fact the opposite is true. I insisted from Albini that we hold a meeting together because I wanted to convey some concerns to him and I wanted to ease the position of Kosovo. The meeting was not possible, I don't know why. Albini was very busy, he had other jobs, I don't know!
The meeting did not happen. I have no words to express it. What a knife it is to hold a meeting between two governments on agreed deals when there are other more important things. It is the opposite of a knife. Reaching out to be together to understand each other more. It cannot be done with what we hear on television. The idea that cancellation is a knife, Kosovo's position is right and the whole world is wrong. It's not like that".
Rama emphasized that this tour through the Western Balkans is being done for two reasons: the holding of the Berlin Process Summit and the NATO Summit.
"It is surprising how this possibility is difficult in communication here in Kosovo, while Kosovo needs more than ever to get out of this situation".
