Despite the opposition's claims that Kosovo's economy is suffering from wrong policies and international sanctions, Prime Minister Albin Kurti says that during the three years of his government, the economy has grown by 33 percent.
"On the one hand, the economy of Kosovo, namely the Gross Domestic Product, has increased by 33 percent, while the state budget has increased by 35 percent. Tax revenues this year are almost 40 percent higher than in 2021. Exports have doubled, while foreign investments have more than doubled. On the other hand, we have distributed 1.3 billion euros to citizens and businesses through numerous measures, in which case the World Bank has concluded that Kosovo had the largest support package in the Balkans", said Kurti.
At the meeting of the General Council of the Vetëvendosje Movement, he emphasized that for all these achievements, the support for the force he leads remains great.
"All parties start from zero and work must be done to reach the number of votes that VV received in the elections of February 14, 2021, and maybe even more in the upcoming elections."
According to Kurti, Vetëvendosja aims to get half a million votes in the February 9 elections.
