In October 2018, the American newspaper "Washington Times" wrote in an investigation that, "Iran has turned embassies in Austria, Albania and Iraq into places where terrorist attacks are planned."

Based on a report, WT wrote that Gholamhossein Mohammadnia, the Iranian ambassador to Albania, is actually a senior official of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, disguised as a diplomat. He was appointed as ambassador to our country in 2016 and was expelled in 2018.

The newspaper quotes a 57-page MEK report, which also lists the names of several Iranian "diplomats", who work according to the information of the Iranian opposition in Albania, as infiltrated agents:

- Assadollah Assadi. Stationed in the Iranian embassy in Vienna as an "adviser", he is an expert on the placement of explosives and led operations against the Americans in Iraq from 2004 to 2008. European authorities arrested Assad in July 2018 for planning a terrorist attack against several members of Iranian opposition in Paris.

– Reza Amiri Moghadam. According to the report, the head of the MOIS operations unit is stationed abroad as a "diplomat". He is the main figure of the terrorist operations of the regime outside Iran, especially in Europe and the USA", writes WT.

– Iraj Masjedi. The Iranian ambassador to Iraq is a former commander of the Iranian army. He is himself the chief adviser to the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard and controls the Shiite militias in Iraq.

After WT, the American television "Fox News" also reported that Albania has become one of the main targets of the Islamic regime after hosting more than 3,000 senior Iranian dissidents in 2016. According to this report, one of the Albanian politicians who was planned to be killed and the MEK was blamed for this, was former Prime Minister Pandeli Majko.

The latter has participated in several MEK activities. Interviewed by "Fox News", Majko admitted that around the middle of 2018, American officials had warned him that he should increase security measures for his protection.

Majko also informed the American media that shortly after this warning, he received a death threat. "I'm not afraid - he said - even though Iran's strategy in the region is unparalleled"./Dita
