CEC: Some municipalities have not notified the citizens about the election lists

The State Commissioner of Elections, Ilirjan Celibashi, raises the concern of non-fulfillment of the obligation to notify voters in writing by the municipalities.

40 municipalities have reported the beginning of the process of written notification of voters. From these reports, only 12 Municipalities have reported on the progress of the voter notification process with periodic weekly reports for the period January 14 - February 27.

The CEC says that the municipalities of Bulqiza, Durrës, Elbasan, Fier, Gramsh, Mirdita, Pogradec, Prrenjas, Roskovec, Shkodër, Tirana, Dimal have reported dynamically on the progress of the voter notification process. Of these municipalities, only 5 Municipalities have reported for all administrative units and these are the municipalities of Mirdita, Pogradec, Roskovec, Shkodër and Dimal.

Only the Durrës, Elbasan and Fier Municipalities have periodically reported on the administrative units with complete data as requested by the CEC for the reporting period. The municipalities, according to the CEC, which have not sent information about the progress of the process of written notification to voters are:

The Central Election Commission requires the strict implementation of the written notification of voters with the data of the electoral components from all municipalities and for all local units in their administration.
