New details have emerged from the meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, which was held this Monday. A closed-door meeting at the Presidency of the Assembly, where the focus was on the national protest that has been taking place for 30 days.
The Prime Minister has given some specific instructions to the Socialist MPs, where unlike other times, the focus has not only been on the physical terrain, but on the virtual one.
According to VNA, Rama has raised the alarm about the "cyberwar" that, according to him, is taking place in parallel with the protest that has now been going on in the square for a month.
" This is a cyber war that different parties are waging against us. There are many fake robot profiles that have entered the game ," Rama declared.
Rama has asked MPs for total and extraordinary engagement on social media, as according to him, the propaganda machine against the government is being massively aided by "troll farms" and automated fake profiles (bots), which have aggressively entered the game to create an artificial perception of revolt.
Furthermore, the messages for the socialists were clear, that they should not remain passive and increase their presence on Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter), to distribute official messages.
The reason for the distribution on social networks, according to the Prime Minister, is to prove that support for the government remains unwavering, despite the virtual "storm".
This move by the head of government comes just days before the protest that is expected to be held on Saturday, and is expected to be massive. On that same day, July 4, Rama also celebrates his 62nd birthday.
