The debates in the meeting of the PD parliamentary group, convened by its leader Enkelejd Alibeaj, have been clarified, where the dialogue with the majority for the election of the new president and the situation within the Democratic Party are being discussed.
Initially, the group decided to submit a request for the establishment of a special parliamentary commission for abuses with the sale and purchase of electricity and the crisis created in the energy system. MPs Helidon Bushati, Lefter Gështenja and members of the Democratic Party in the Commission of Production Activities are in charge of this.
Afterwards, MP Ervin Salianji asked for the meeting to be postponed for a moment when the MPs are also supporters of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha. According to him, it does not make sense that authorization is required to sit at the table with the SP to discuss the election of the President when not all Democrats come together.
"I see attempts to divide the party. We have to sit with the group leadership and all the deputies come, it does not make sense, authorization is required to sit with Rama and we do not sit with each other. We have to postpone the meeting and gather when they are "The president and any other issue should be discussed in the group chairman and in the parliamentary group, not a fact. Territorial and electoral reform is absolute for us ," Salianji said.
Meanwhile, a significant part of the deputies have been in favor of sitting at the table with the majority for talks on the election of a new President.
Kreshnik Çollaku: We must participate in the roundtable to choose the candidate for President, without complexes. Be a figure with integrity.
Lefter Chestnut: First of all if I had to make news I would say we should not take part in the presidential election process. In fact I am the one who has to participate in the process. Although we know that Rama has the numbers, we must participate by setting precise criteria for who should be the president. In front of the public opinion we present 1 2 3 or 4 potential candidates who have a reputation in the public opinion. Challenging the majority with candidates with integrity. It is certain that the citizens will appreciate us for this solution. My condition is that the president be an anti-communist who is neither sold nor bought.
Saimir Korreshi: To propose a name for president, the President that we believe he does, we must definitely participate in the territorial reform
The Secretary General, Gazment Bardhi, was also harsh in his speech, stating that the pro-Sali MPs are attacking them in order not to participate in the process of electing the new president.
"To propose criteria and procedures. We must continue with the opposition. And let us not be compensated that a group of Berisha attacks us. We do not respond in the same language to preserve the PD. We are careful not to divide the DP. They are attacking us today for not attending the president. Those who until yesterday said why boycott. So it is clear who was behind the boycott until yesterday. The president is elected by parliament. And the parliamentary group decides. Jozefina, Rudina and Murrizi are not appointed to the National Council. "Those who attacked the Democratic Party until yesterday" , declared Bardhi.
