Israel and Gaza THE POINT of separation between Rama and Erdogan!
Rexhep Tayip Erdogan/ Edi Rama

There is one point where Prime Minister Edi Rama and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan disagree, and that is Gaza.

During a press conference held by the two, they clearly showed their opposing positions. It was the Turkish president who opened the "issue" talking about the war in Gaza.

Erdogan said that the genocide that has been going on for 1 year in Gaza is the common shame of all humanity.

"The genocide that has been going on for 1 year in Gaza is the common shame of all humanity. We must do our best to secure a permanent ceasefire, provide humanitarian aid and put pressure on Israel. I believe that Albania will do its part in this direction," said the Turkish president.

While in his speech, Rama said that for him, Hamas is a terrorist organization, but added that both Israel and Palestine are sovereign countries.

Once again, the head of the Albanian government spoke in favor of a ceasefire between the parties, which also includes the release of the hostages, who have been held hostage for 1 year now.

"Ukraine is a central topic of all discussions but of every conversation I have had. It is a nation that is in its own right where it will position itself. Even what is happening in Gaza is a tragedy of colossal proportions. We share the same assessments. But we have a different point of view. For us, terror in any form is intolerable. We have voted for a cease-fire that must also mean the release of hostages in Hamas and any other source of terror there is no place in the peaceful future that should be established in two sovereign states, Israel and Palestine. No one should question their existence," Rama said in his speech.
