Prime Minister Edi Rama has revealed the face-to-face conversation with Turkish President Erdogan regarding the construction project of the Namazgja mosque in Tirana.
The head of the government emphasized that "I had reservations about the project", but Rama added, addressing Erdogan, "you told me that I am leaving the project to you as to how it will look, and I want to come and open the mosque with you".
Rama emphasized that "Namazgjaja", which will be inaugurated by President Erdogan, will enter the collection of the most beautiful mosques built in modern times.
"After a while I will accompany you with pleasure and honor, all are gone but the houses of faith, even when our names except yours are forgotten", addressed Rama to the Turkish president.
Edi Rama : The boring part of the day is over for you, now begins another part that will be a special joy, not only were you the voice of the Albanian Muslim community before the Turkish Muslim community guaranteeing the collection of funds for the construction of the mosque, but in every time we have met you have been attentive, for this reason today.
You in Turkey have beautiful mosques, but the mosque you will see today will enter the collection of the most beautiful mosques built in modern times.
This is your credit, when we met for the first time you put your hand through the door and the project came, you told me this is the project of the Turkish Albanian brotherhood.
I had reservations about the project, but you told me that I am leaving the project to you, how it will look, and I want to come and open the mosque with you.
In a little while I will accompany you with pleasure and honor, all are gone but the houses of faith, even when our names besides yours are forgotten.
