The head of the Municipality of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu, has reacted in connection with the assassination recorded at noon today in Shengjin, where the businessman Ardian Nikulaj (Marku) was executed inside his bar.

In a post on social networks, Ndreu expresses shock, as he informs that Ardian Nikulaj was also a member of the Municipal Council. Pjerin Ndreu considers this event as a serious violation of order and public safety in the city of Lezha.

He calls on the law enforcement agencies and the Prosecutor's Office to clarify the incident as soon as possible and bring the perpetrators to justice.

"Shocked by today's event in Shengji, where Ardian Nikulaj, businessman and member of the municipal council, was killed! Such an event is a serious violation of public order and safety in our city! I strongly request from the law enforcement and prosecution authorities  that to clarify the event as soon as possible, to bring the perpetrators of this heinous event to justice!  I express my condolences to his family and relatives for this tragic loss!" - writes Pjerin Ndreu.

Currently, Ardian Nikulaj was a candidate for the Municipal Council in Lezhë with the Social Democratic Party of Tom Doshi, while in the 2021 elections he was also a candidate for deputy with this political force, as well as earlier he was the director of Aluzism in Lezhë.
