The decision for the confiscation of constructions without permission has entered into force, where it is emphasized that the owners have the right to buy the built surface at the market price, but they cannot escape the fine.
All funds that will be collected both from the sale of these buildings to the owners and from fines will be used for expropriations or compensation for public works.
While when the building is confiscated it can be used for housing or offices.
Fines for constructions without permission are equal to the value of the works performed, but never less than 500,000 Lek, while for the addition of floors, the fine is not less than 300,000 Lek.
Until now, the 9-story palace of Julian Morin and 1200 m2 of Pëllumb Salillar's building have been confiscated.
In the decision, it is specified that the ministry responsible for the administration of state properties, within 6 months from the entry into force of this decision, creates and administers a special register for the registration and inventory of confiscated objects with all their data.
