The Democratic Party has reacted in relation to the Court's decision to return to the Appeal and the retrial of the DP stamp case by a new body of judges.

Through a short communiqué for the media, the official PD declares that today's decision of the Supreme Court is a step towards bringing delayed justice to the PD case.

REACTION OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY:

Today's decision of the Supreme Court is another step towards the decision of delayed justice for the DP case. The Democratic Party remains convinced that this issue, hostage to legal procedures, will find the right and legal solution without the delays caused by those who undermine justice and others who fear the strengthening of the opposition.

We remind you that in the statement made public by the Supreme Court, the College of Judges concluded that "the Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana did not respond to the requests of the parties in the respective appeals, while it mainly considered cases for which the parties have not raised them as claims in the appeal"

The panel assessed that the claims raised in the appeals submitted to the Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana are issues that could be resolved by that court itself.
