Most of the deputies of the Socialist Party have refused to comment for the media on the arrest of the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, while some of them think that only justice should be expressed on this matter.

Pandeli Majko, Eduard Shalsi, Etjen Xhafaj, Xhemal Qefalia and Anila Denaj have refused to make a comment, while Nasip Naço said: " Let justice speak, let us listen to justice, that's all." When justice speaks, others remain silent ."

The same opinion was shared by his colleague, Blerina Gjylameti as she said that " justice is not commented on ".

Beqaj ended up in prison as accused of corruption with European Union funds while leading the SASPAC agency, created for the management of donations for Albania, but the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, thinks that " politicians are not asked about issues of justice ".

" Justice has its own work ," Manja underlined, while Elisa Spiropali criticized the media for the speed with which they rushed to seek an opinion from the socialists on this issue.

"What is this zeal, what is this pleasure that you have to put microphones on a matter that will be clarified by justice", said Spiropali.

The only one of the socialists who stopped to take the case to the media was Erion Braçe, who, among other things, asked to be held responsible for the theft of EU funds.

" To be honest, I have only seen these first news that have come out, we should have more information. The handcuffed video does not constitute an argument for what I am being asked. You are asking me about the crux of the matter, the theft of EU funds. As long as it is a theft, more detailed information than what has been published is needed to understand what happened. Beyond that, of course, for whom was the reform in justice made? To bring abusers to justice. Undoubtedly, when there are implications related to what are programs or budget funds of the European Union, the matter must be looked at very seriously in order to fulfill the obligation that the EU imposes on its own money, either for agricultural funds or for other EU funds that are used in the territory of the Republic of Albania. Undoubtedly, the SP must bear moral responsibility. The SP is carrying this responsibility without the slightest discussion and I am convinced that when we appear before an electoral race, everyone will take the cost. SP is engaged in a deep process of reform, not only within it but also of governance and legislation to address the great problem of corruption ," Braçe said .
