The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha , gave his first speech after his release from house arrest, addressing his supporters in the courtyard of the blue headquarters.
He emphasized that his and the opposition's victory was the result of the unity and resistance of the democrats, thanking them for their support.
However, Berisha also had a clear message for the Prime Minister, Edi Rama .
He called on Rama to establish a technical government, warning him that the "narco-power" was coming to an end and that civil disobedience was about to continue.
"Don't drag out your narco-power in vain," Berisha said, adding that "God himself said, so that I come back, clean the house. We will clean our house!"
At the end of the speech, Berisha invited the young oppositionists and honest citizens, including those who work in the administration, to join the DP to continue the fight for a fairer Albania.
"You have suffered a lot," he said, assuring that the opposition will continue to fight for its cause.
