Former Freedom Party MP, Monika Kryemadhi , has posted a photo on social media with a "message" addressed to her lawyer, Redi Llanaj.
After her preliminary hearing at the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime was postponed again, this time due to a boycott by lawyers, she stated that once again, justice has double standards.
She further continues by saying it is ironic that the decision of the National Chamber of Advocates is not based on the law, whereas when lawyers boycott in defense of constitutional principles and the independence of the profession and in solidarity with judges, the boycott is based on the law.
Monika Kryemadhi's post:
"Attorney Redi Llanaj, greetings! My court hearing was postponed to October 28, 9:00 AM."
The court stated:
“The decision of the National Chamber of Advocates is not based on the law.”
The irony?
When you lawyers boycott in defense of constitutional principles and the independence of the profession, and in solidarity with judges, it is said that the boycott is based on the law!
So, the law has two interpretations:
One for those who implement it,
and another for those who interpret it as appropriate.
In the end, the question remains:
"Who protects the law... when the court doesn't recognize it?" Kryemadhi writes, alongside a photo where he is seen from the gym with boxing gloves in his hands.
