SP deputy who traveled to Kiev speaks: We saw women with children in their hands
SP MP, Xhemal Qefalia

Optimism through the destroyed streets of Kiev! This is felt in every corner of the city and the experiences of that situation, when they mark a full year since the start of the war, is brought by the deputy of the SP, Xhemal Qefalia, part of the delegation that went to Ukraine.

In an interview for Report TV, Qefalia said that what impressed him the most is precisely the optimism, both in the ranks of the MPs and of ordinary people, and the faith they had to see the war to the end.

"We have just had a little rest, we are in the hotel, it is a situation of readiness, we as a delegation, have participated in the meeting that took place today in the jubilee session in the parliament of Ukraine, many other delegations were also present. It was a sensation when the President of the Assembly and the deputies, made the balance of the war throughout the year, a balance that is full of victims, with loss of the economy, a tragic thing. We were impressed by the optimism of these people, MPs and people, to see their fight to the end" , said Qefalia.

On his way to Kiev, it shows that the traces of the war were everywhere. A moment that the MP singles out was the long queues of women with children in their arms, standing at the border with Poland, for a plate of soup.

He said that they were dramatic moments, that made you feel in some way indebted to them, to contribute in any way so that all this hell would end.

"The moment we entered the Ukrainian border, we encountered many families, women with children in their arms, queuing to be fed, touching, when you saw children queuing for a plate of soup. Drama. We felt very bad" , the deputy confessed.

Albania is one of the countries that has stood by Ukraine in these difficult moments, and Qefalia shows that they are grateful. He revealed that at the moment the red and black flag was unfurled in the Ukrainian parliament.

"There is a sensitivity for the contribution that Albania is giving to Ukraine and we were applauded and appreciated, there was a lot of applause when we unfurled the national flag" , concluded the deputy.

In a general analysis, Qefalia said that now things are in the direction of Ukraine, but it is still early when the war will end. The Albanian delegation consists of Pandeli Majko, and 2 deputies Xhemal Qelafia and Denis Deliu.
