An elderly woman from Pogradec, an ardent democrat for years, with tears in her eyes, in a statement to the media, said that even though she is seriously ill, she came out to support Sali Berisha.

"I have health problems that I have no way out of. Our children have become drug addicts and unemployed. The children are suffering with nowhere to go.

I came here with a tube, because they don't know how to remove it or put it in, and I'm waiting to die. I have cancer in my colon and liver. The appeal is: O people, make up your mind that Albania is ending.

"I appreciate it very much, because if it weren't for Berisha, this people would be finished. I've been a democrat since 90 and I haven't given up, I've been on committees, only this time I was absent because I was very sick," the citizen says.
