Edi Rama says that the fight against corruption is still not won.
Focusing on public procurements, he said that there is still corruption, while he said that since April 25 , no minister has anything to do with tenders anymore, and that the public company of the operator of centralized purchases will act for these.
" I repeat that the fight against corruption is far from being won... This is not enough for us and the figures I gave do not mean that there is no corruption in public procurement.
We have taken another step forward, to create the public company of the centralized purchasing operator that officially started work on April 25 and will carry out all procurements.
So no minister and no dependency structure will have anything to do with tenders anymore, but they will deal with sectoral policies. This company will be assisted by a European partner company ," he said.
