The dissatisfaction of the Democratic Party structures regarding the party's closed list for the Fier region continues.
A group of signatories of the Democratic Party in Fier, and specifically the Divjaka area, have sent to the Presidency and the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, their dissatisfaction with the closed list of this region, which does not include the name of the candidate Elisabeta Rredhi, who was evaluated in the Primaries of this region with the vote of 492 members.
Meanwhile, the names of the deputies who are part of the closed list in Fier are: Gazment Bardhi, Luan Baçi, Brunilda Haxhiu (PL), Eduart Sharka and Saimir Korreshi.
Petition of the signatories of the Divjaka area:
“THE CHAIRMAN OF THE DPA, MR. SALI BERISHA.
DEAR MEMBERS OF THE DPA PRESIDENCY,
DEAR MR. BERISHA.
After the primaries process that determined that the political power to select candidates for MPs would be held by the membership, so far, according to information, it has turned out to be a farce and a clan-based selection.
We are following with deep concern that after 12 years of opposition and resistance, the DPA Presidency is once again not respecting the verdict of the Democrats through the election of the primaries, but are finding artifices to avoid them, demotivating us to work towards the victory of the DPA.
We, as a branch of the Divjakë Democratic Party, do not feel represented because the winner of the first place primaries among the ladies with 492 votes in the Fier District and third in the Republic, with significant electoral support and contribution, is not selected by the Presidency on the safe list, but is offered a place on the open list. The lady in question has contributed twice as a candidate in 2017 and 2021.
The Divjake branch has obtained significant results in every election and is one of the best branches in the Fier District, supporting all opposition actions in these 12 years.
The Fier District list, according to preliminary information, is not a winning list and a list that would bring innovation, new and reputable names, since Fier is the most left-wing district in Albania, the electorate is being served the same photos of candidates.
