National Day of Justice, Begaj: Guarantee integrity and impartiality!

President Bajram Begaj, during his speech at the conference for the National Day of Justice, said that today is a holy day for the country as it marks the 110th anniversary of the creation of the Supreme Court.

Begaj emphasized that the journey of Albanian justice has not been easy, but justice must be guaranteed and obstacles must be overcome and the results of the judicial reform must be used.

So he emphasized that the quality of justice and the guarantee of the independence of the system, the full implementation of the judicial map must be ensured.

" Today is a holy day for justice, the 100th anniversary of the creation of the high court. In these 110 years, our political history has had a difficult journey. The journey of Albanian Justice in search of an independent justice, establishing equality before the law.

Local and international actors have a contribution to building a transparent justice system. The Supreme Court has an irreplaceable contribution, the goal of the reform started in 2014 culminated in the approval of the Constitutional amendments in 2016. The reform has not been easy because its establishment and implementation, including challenges and obstacles, have brought delays beyond legal predictions.

Access to justice must be guaranteed through the correct implementation of the judicial map. Guaranteeing the independence of the system which is the reason for the justice reform. Quality in justice is and should be the measuring criterion to determine the work of all actors involved. Despite the fact that the accumulated work presents challenges and problems, I want to congratulate you. I wish you an example of success by proving, professionalism, integrity, impartiality , "he said.
