The deputy of the Democratic Party, Tomor Alizoti, has stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama is ready to do everything, even hide under the table, just to avoid being held accountable for the "McGonigal" scandal. 

Alizoti made the comments during an interview for the show "Kjo Javë", where he said that Rama could be summoned to the American Congress for this affair and according to him, the prime minister is under investigation in the USA.

He added that he thinks that the crisis within the opposition is over and mass protests should continue until the overthrow of the government of Edi Rama.

"The media took risks, as you yourself know. Those media that do it, do it at very high costs. You tried it and got paid. Democracy has costs. But he has bought a large part of the media. Do not accept the post of prime minister when you cannot bear the responsibility. The crisis exceeds the PD. The crisis is among the biggest crises of this country.

If the opposition fails to block this man who has chosen not to be prime minister. Continuous protests to not allow Rama to enter the Parliament. The protest will increase the pressure on a man who is anxious. Protests are the most democratic element.

The Prime Minister today does not know the Parliament, he must answer for his work. Who bears the cost of smearing the name of Albanians around the world? The Prime Minister does not explain any of the issues related to McGonigal. Rama is ready to get under the rug just to not take responsibility. Protests should be "non-stop". They must continue at any moment.

Changes of power occur through votes. Protest should produce early elections, there should be outrage, not recitation. It should block and isolate the prime minister, who should take responsibility for what happened.

Mendoj se kriza e opozitës është e tejkaluar. Mendoj që kriza që ka kapur sot Shqipërinë, nuk është më çështje proceduriale. Nëse opozita nuk do marrë përgjegjësinë e saj, ajo do të zëvendësohet nga ky popull. Rasti i kryeministrit do të jetë në Kongresin Amerikan. Kongresi përmes “Sepina” mund të thërritet në Kongresin Amerikan. Ka një zbutje të toneve mes dy grupimeve të PD-së. Opozita merr problemet dhe shqetësimet e një shoqërie dhe i shndërron në kaos. Parlamenti nuk funksionon.

The Prime Minister should be afraid to leave the office. How is it possible that journalists live in million-euro villas", said Alizoti.
