"Even this issue cannot calm the spirits of the opposition", Balla:
Taulant Balla

The political leader of the district of Fieri, at the same time the Chairman of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla from Fieri, has focused on several important issues of current affairs in the country, including the McGonigal issue, which according to him is a cover-up by the opposition for issues like January 21 and the Gërdeci File.

"Even this issue, which is not an issue for Albania, cannot calm the troubled spirits of the so-called opposition. It should be clear to all Albanians that there are no accusations or findings that involve even an Albanian authority or Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has waited as every prime minister should wait for an official of another country, but it is about a US official who came to Albania asked for a meeting and was expected at the meeting and naturally after a few years this gentleman has another problem, and what is said and in the indictment of the American law enforcement bodies it is said that this gentleman has a problem with a case with a Russian citizen, whom he met years later but does not know that there is a case that connects the McGonigal case with Prime Minister Rama or any other representative,

Balla says that Berisha has his own problem and invents and creates phantom alibi.

"The attempt of the Democratic Party to link its own Russian money problem and the attempt to escape from this fact, which is universally proven, has been weighing on the Democratic Party for many years now.

The Democratic Party is all trying to create an alibi to escape their accusation, and the truth is that as soon as a new indisputable proof came out in Albania regarding the orders given on January 21, 2011, something was immediately found
which now it must be placed on the daily gramophone of the opposition, which must boil as much as possible and make as much noise as possible to dilute the real issues, and I am very sure that the Albanian citizens of this country cannot take Saliu for fools either. neither Saliu's copies nor Saliu's allies.

To dilute the investigations for January 21, to dilute the acts and procedural actions that SPAK is doing against the massacre of Gërdec with an issue that is not an issue for Albania, it is very clear that the American law enforcement bodies have filed an accusation against a former official their contacts with a Russian oligarch, which are related to the sanctions. Sanctions were imposed last year and naturally there were attempts to escape these sanctions, but where does Albania come in here, or Edi Rama in this case".

Balla emphasizes that the opposition should let the American judiciary investigate this matter, why should they make these protests for something that does not exist.

"Let American justice investigate this matter, why should they make these protests, go and wait for the result of American justice. They (the opposition) want to make a protest for something that does not exist and the great fear that has arisen after the actions of SPAK, either for Gërdec or for January 21, is a fear where they think that through a protest they will gather some people to frighten Albanian justice. They don't protest about the McGonigal case, they want to protest against SPAK, against the investigation," Balla emphasized.
