The closed list candidate in the Korça Region, Romina Kuko, has resigned from her position as Deputy Minister of Interior, after being elected as an MP on the winning list of the May 11 elections.

In a request addressed to Prime Minister Edi Rama and, for information, Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi, Kuko announced his resignation, thanking him for the trust and opportunity to serve in this position.

With Kuko's resignation from the executive branch, she paves the way for her seat in the Assembly as a representative of the majority in the new parliamentary mandate.

The results of the May 11 elections in Korça resulted in 6 mandates for the Socialist Party and 5 for the Democratic Party.
