Sali Berisha declared that the opposition mayoral candidate will be a "man who has the skills to convince the citizens of Tirana more than anyone else."

"The identity will be a person who has the ability to convince the citizens of Tirana more than anyone else because of his skills, his performance. Of course, there will be discussions about him. But, once again, if we talk about independent, an independent person is someone who takes the courage and says: look, I went out into the arena ," Berisha said.

"If no one comes forward, then there are independent candidates proposed by the parties. These are not independent candidacies, these are non-party candidacies proposed by the parties, and this is very good, and this has worked," Berisha added.
