After GJKKO put former Prime Minister Sali Berisha under 'house arrest', the reaction from the leader of the DP's parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, comes.

Bardhi says that "abuse of the law leaves the taste of political persecution against the opposition."

Overcoming need, reasonable action and abuse of austerity turns into injustice. The opposition really has no battle with justice, but the opposite of this must be even louder: justice cannot have a battle, beyond what the law dictates, with the opposition.

In this regard, a deputy cannot be suspended from the exercise of the function that defacto is achieved if he is forbidden to be qualified and to fulfill political activity even in conditions of isolation, because this is not expressly permitted by law.

The abuse of the law in this case, isolating Sali Berisha in conditions that do not apply to prisoners, is clearly unreassable, unnecessary and an overreach that leaves the taste of political persecution to the opposition. Political persecution of the opposition would align Albania with Russia, not with NATO or EU countries. In a NATO member state, in a candidate country for eu member states, anyone must be equal before the law, anyone can be investigated and if he proves guilty he is convicted.

But in a NATO member state, in a candidate EU member country, no one can be politically persecuted, no one should be treated beyond the standards that the law allows and are necessary in a society with justice and equality. Abuse, overreach and lack of reason are always injustices!
