Prime Minister Edi Rama considers the victory of the socialists in the Municipality of Shkodra as well as the municipal council in this city as the biggest challenge he has faced.

From Shkodra, to make the thanksgiving tour for the victory of the SP in Shkodra, Rama spoke about the voters who gave the victory to the socialists in this city.

And according to Rama, the difference was made by those voters who voted with their hearts and not with their minds.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those who on May 14 came out and voted for Benet and voted for SP. For the first time, we are the first political force in the municipal council. I also want to thank those who did not come out to vote, considering it impossible to vote for Bennett and for us, but evaluating it as impossible to come out to vote again for those who returned not only in disappointment but in a stain for all Albanian democrats. I want to tell you all that I, for myself, consider this result in Shkodër as the biggest challenge that has been given to me and to the PS. We also had an argument with Mom, for you it's Elisa, about the work of the heart. Because I think that Shkodra's vote was beyond the vote of the socialists, beyond the vote of those who voted traditionally,

Those who have made the difference in these elections are those who have not traditionally voted for the SP, but have judged that maybe this time is the time not to continue voting with their eyes closed and without their minds, but with their minds. Whoever votes with their heart gives you a very long-term loan, as happened with the other party. It has been for many years an interest-free loan that turned out to be a tremendous detriment to those who voted, but it was a vote of the heart. And I have seen from my experience here that I have come 9 times to campaign and in the previous 8 campaigns the mind of the majority was closed and there was no space at all to leave the message there. The ears were closed, the eyes were closed and the heart beat only on the right. This time it's a combined thing.

The vote received in Shkodër, Rama said that it should be returned to the citizens in jobs and projects.

"We have the obligation to double this honor that people have done to us, they have also done another part that are not leftists, to turn it into a debt repayment that must take into account this fact: from the way Bennett will govern the municipality. I told him today that the Municipality of Shkodra should be everyone's municipality and it should reflect this, not just by agreeing that investments are made for everyone, but it should reflect that all those human resources that are there should be evaluated on the basis of merit wet and dry must be separated. There may be those who belonged to the Democratic Party, but who are also good people. They should not be touched. Benet, it is true that the socialists brought you to power, but don't forget that you are a democrat. 

We cannot consider this a victory, that the victory was won, this is a special victory and requires special attention from one side we were given a great trust, but it is not only the issue of Shkodra, we must awaken the potential of this city in function of the good of all Albania, it is an area that is the most blessed area of ​​Albania.

In 4 years we cannot awaken all its potential, but 4 years are enough to make a change that affects not only the eyes, but also the minds and hearts of people, as from now on they will be waiting for people in a clean environment . We saw the bins today, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, the garbage was around the bins, you don't see this sight anywhere else in Albania, it's the sight I found when I first became the mayor of Tirana", said Rama .
